One person is dead and three others are in hospital after a single vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Grenfell, Sask. Saturday morning.

The RCMP responded to the call at about 9:45 a.m. CST, and found four people in the vehicle badly injured.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, another was airlifted to a Regina hospital and two other people were taken by emergency crews to a hospital in Wolseley, Sask.

There are no details on what caused the crash. A traffic reconstructionist is on scene trying to piece together what happened.

Police have not released the names or ages of the people involved in the crash.
