Amid slippery conditions, there was a rash of collisions on the main route between Regina and Saskatoon on Wednesday.

Over a three-hour period just before noon, there were seven single vehicle crashes on Highway 11 between Craik and Saskatoon.

Blowing snow warnings were issued for much of the southern part of the province.

Environment Canada said there will be whiteout conditions in much of that area later today.

MD Ambulance was responding to a series of rollovers around the Saskatoon area.

They included:

• Highway 16 west, near Borden, where a 35-year-old man suffered minor injuries.
• Highway 41 between Highway 5 and Aberdeen, where there was a rollover but the patient had already left the scene.
• Highway 11 south, three kilometres past Grasswood Road, where a 48-year-old woman was transported to Royal University Hospital with minor injuries.

MD Ambulance spokesman Troy Davies said with temperatures dropping again tonight, driving conditions could be treacherous, so motorists should slow down.
