A Prince Albert woman killed by a suspected drunk driver will be memorialized by the place where she worked.
Chrystal Rivet, 30, died on Jan. 23 after her car was hit by another driver at the intersection of 28th Street East and 6th Avenue East. She was four months pregnant at the time of the crash.
Rivet worked at Children's Choice Child Development Centre, a daycare in the city. The daycare is now renaming its annual Children's Art Gala to Chrystal Rivet Memorial Framed Talent Art Gala.
"Which is a total, total tribute to her," said Claude Rivet, Chrystal's father. "It makes a man feel very, very proud that she wanted to be famous one day, and perhaps now she will, you know, with all the passion she had for that kind of work."
Craig Kopichanski, 21, of Weldon, Sask., is facing a number of charges including impaired driving causing death.
