Riders' special teams co-ordinator resigns

The Saskatchewan Roughriders' special teams co-ordinator is moving on and speculation is rife he's headed for Winnipeg.
The Canadian Football League team announced Thursday that after two years, Craig Dickenson has tendered his resignation.
"My decision to resign is based on off-season commitments I have made that I intend to honour and also to a conflict of schedule which could not be worked out," Dickenson said in a written statement to the Riders that the team released to the media.
Meanwhile, Twitter and Winnipeg media outlets were buzzing with speculation that Dickenson was headed for Winnipeg, where the Blue Bombers have a vacancy for a special teams co-ordinator. A source has told CBC News that Dickenson will indeed sign with the team.
The special teams co-ordinator is responsible for kickoffs, punts, punt returns and field goals.
Dickenson, who thanked the team, coaches and fans, joined the Riders in 2011.
He had previously worked with the Oakland Raiders, the Calgary Stampeders and the Montréal Alouettes.
