Regina police are investigating following the death of a male early Monday morning in the North Central neighborhood.

A call about a possible death on the 1100 block of Robinson St. came in just after midnight, police said.

The person was located and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police were not calling the death a homicide, but said it's suspicious and the major crimes unit is investigating.

The coroner office has been contacted, police said.

At 9 a.m., police had cordoned off an area around the corner of 5th Avenue and Robinson Street.

Police haven't identified the victim or said whether he's an adult or a child.
