Highway 316 closed near Clavet after fatal crash

The Saskatoon RCMP are on the scene of a fatal crash that has killed one man Thursday morning.
It happened just after 8 a.m. on Highway 316 about four kilometres north of Clavet, Sask.
Police said it appears that the driver of a northbound minivan lost control on the icy road. His vehicle was stuck on the passenger side door by a southbound pickup truck.
The driver of the minivan, who is in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's name has not been released.
The man, 28, driving the pickup truck is reported to have suffered minor injuries.
Highway 316 will be closed for several hours while police investigate the scene.
Clavet is located about 30 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
