Icy roads and poor visibility have caused several serious accidents across Saskatchewan Thursday morning.

Currently, Moose Jaw RCMP are at the scene of a semi-trailer that has rolled in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 just east of Mortlach, Sask.

One person is said to have serious injuries.

All eastbound traffic is at a standstill and eastbound lanes will be blocked for the next few hours. Police are advising drivers to avoid the area.

One woman dead in semi versus minivan crash

Blaine Lake RCMP are also at the scene of a fatal accident involving a minivan and a semi-trailer.

It happened on Highway 40, about 20 kilometres west of Hafford, Sask.

Police say a woman who was a passenger in the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man who was driving the minivan and the man driving the semi have been taken to hospital.

There is no word on their condition.

The highway will be closed for several hours and officers will be directing traffic around the area.

Warman crash ejects teen from SUV

Another crash just outside of Saskatoon on Highway 11 has sent a 17-year-old girl to hospital after being ejected from an SUV.

Warman RCMP said they responded to a single vehicle rollover just before 10 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 11, north of Wanuskewin Road.

When officers arrived on scene they found a Honda Element rolled onto its roof in the ditch.

Police said a 38-year-old Warman woman was driving and her 17-year-old daughter was the passenger thrown out of the vehicle.

The 17-year-old has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said there is a possibility the teen was not wearing a seatbelt, adding it's possible the SUV may have been travelling too fast for the weather conditions.

Regina bus vs. minivan crash sends one man to hospital

An earlier crash between a City of Regina bus and a minivan sent one man to hospital.

It happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Gordon Road and Pasqua Street.

A CBC reporter at the scene said the minivan was trying to cross the intersection when a city bus that had the right of way crashed into it.

That sent both vehicles off the road, with the minivan coming to a stop in a patch of trees.

No serious injuries have been reported.

The driver of the minivan was taken to hospital for examination.
