Man involved in shooting of Saskatoon cabbie gets 16 years

Dalton Domotor, 21, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. (Saskatoon Police Service)A man who was involved in a string of violent offences in Saskatoon last May, including the shooting of a taxi driver, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Dalton Domotor, 21, was sentenced on Tuesday.
In Saskatoon, it's one of the lengthiest sentences in years for a non-homicide case.
Domotor was part of a group that robbed and shot a cab driver. Later, he and several others forced their way into a home, robbing the resident.
As the crime spree continued, a pizza delivery driver was robbed and two other businesses were held up at gunpoint.
Domotor was sentenced after pleading guilty to more than a dozen offences, included three counts of kidnapping, three of assault with a weapon, five of using a firearm in the commission of an offence and three of pointing a firearm.
