Shelves at the Regina and District Food Bank are stocked with tonnes of food donated during the 26th Annual Food Drive.
Volunteers brought in more than 424,000 pounds of donations — that's more than 192 tonnes of food — in a 48-hour period between Thursday and Saturday.
Food bank officials say they believe the result could secure Regina's title as defending champion of the Great Canadian Food Fight, a friendly competition between several food banks across Canada.
This year's Great Canadian Food Fight pitted Regina against food banks in Halifax, Waterloo, Ont., and Victoria, B.C., to see which one could collect the most donations in the same time period.
"While totals have yet to come in from all the other cities, Regina seems to be the clear victor in total amount raised," local food bank officials said in a release Sunday.
"While Regina retains their crown as defending champions, in the end it is the less fortunate in these cities who are the true winners."
