Man, 40, dies in Nipawin house fire, RCMP say

A 40-year-old man was found dead following a house fire in Nipawin, RCMP say.
According to police, the local fire department was sent to the fire, in a home on 1st Avenue West, around 12:30 p.m. CST Wednesday.
Crews extinguished the fire and found the man, a resident of the house, dead inside.
Police said everyone else who lived in the house had been accounted for.
No name was released.
According to police, fire damage to the home was not significant. An investigation was underway by a fire scene examiner and other RCMP specialists.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Nipawin is about 225 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
