The RCMP honoured two men who lost their lives on duty in 2012, in a ceremony at the Regina training academy on Sunday.
Pilot Dave Brolin was killed in a helicopter crash near Cultus Lake B.C., Jan. 17.

Brolin is first civilian to have his name added to the list of RCMP members who died during active service.
Const. Derek Pineo was killed after his car hit a moose near Wilkie, Sask., while Pineo was responding to a call in the early morning of July 20. Pineo was a month shy of having five years of service with the RCMP.
"RCMP members dedicate themselves to providing service to Canadians," said RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson. "When we lose a member of the RCMP in the line of duty, it tears at the hearts of everyone across the Force."
Paulson presented the RCMP Memorial Memento to the relatives of the two men on Saturday evening.
Their names were inscribed on the Cenotaph, the Honour Roll and the Memorial Wall Plaques, bringing the total number of fallen members to 230 since the creation of the North-West Mounted Police in 1873.
