Just days after a Saskatoon bar posted to Facebook images from its security cameras showing the theft of a purse, the victim in the story says she has her money back.

The bar has 16 security cameras and the owner examined the images after learning a patron's purse had been lifted from a table, taken to a washroom and emptied of money.

The owner posted screen grabs of what transpired to the social media site Facebook.

Reaction from the online community was very critical of the purse snatchers.

CBC News was told Friday that the people in the pictures went to the Saskatoon police station where a meeting was arranged with the interested parties.

The woman who owns the purse said the pair involved were embarrassed by the online notoriety and were anxious to return her money to her as soon as possible.

With that, CBC News was told the security camera pictures were removed from Facebook.

No charges have been laid.
