Grainy images from a camera equipped to take pictures in low light show two suspects RCMP believe are responsible for stealing fuel from farm machinery left in a field.

According to police, the alleged theft took place very early Thursday morning and followed another incident from the previous evening.

The farm machine, a combine used for the harvest, was parked in a field southwest of Cupar, Sask.

"As a result of the theft from the previous evening the owners of the farm equipment set up a trail camera to capture photos of anyone that may return and steal more fuel," RCMP explained in a news release issued Thursday.

The trail camera is designed for hunters and outdoor activities but can also be used as a sort of security camera.

"In this case the trail camera captured two suspects and the vehicle they were operating," police said.

Grainy images, supplied by the RCMP show two suspects, described as white males, both of average height with one of medium build and the other a heavy-set man.

Their vehicle was described as a four-door extended cab Chevrolet Silverado truck.

Cupar is about 60 kilometres northeast of Regina.
