Police say a second 18-year-old man has been charged with the second-degree murder of Mervin McAdam, 22, whose body was discovered in a burning waste bin in Saskatoon in February.
The latest arrest took place Tuesday morning at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre where the accused was already in custody on a number of unrelated charges.
According to police, McAdam's body was discovered around 6:35 a.m. CST on Feb. 26 in a burning bin in the east alley of the 200 block of Avenue S South.
The first arrest in the case, where another 18-year-old was charged with second-degree murder, took place in July. That accused person was also in custody at the time of his arrest.
