RCMP say a fire that has completely destroyed a home in the Village of Saskatchewan Beach is being investigated as suspicious.
Silton Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call at about 1:45 p.m. CST Wednesday.
By that time, the property had already been engulfed in flames, which could be seen across Last Mountain Lake.
Patty Coons was at the scene and said the fire was under control within an hour.
"Silton fire truck, which Saskatchewan Beach supports, arrived and...they had hoses going and the truck hooked up to our water supply system and dousing the fire," said Coons.
Police said no one was living in the home at the time — the house was partially built.
No one was injured in the fire.
The Village of Saskatchewan Beach is about 55 kilometres north-west of Regina.
