Saskatoon's fire chief tight-lipped over 3 suspensions

Saskatoon's fire chief is not saying much about the suspension of three fire fighters who now face internal discipline.
Chief Brian Bentley told CBC News Wednesday that the suspensions, with pay, relate to an alleged incident in the early morning hours of Aug. 12.
He said the three fire fighters were not on duty at the time, but added police were involved.
"The three suspended fire fighters will face internal discipline in accordance with the rules and regulations of Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services," the department said in a news release.
Bentley added he took the move to suspend the fire fighters in order to maintain the integrity of his department.
Alyson Edwards, a spokeswoman for Saskatoon's police department, told CBC News that patrol officers were crossing the Broadway Bridge on Sunday morning around 2:45 a.m. and noticed two men engaged in a fight.
When the officers intervened, she said, a third man joined the fray.
"So our officers did sustain some minor injuries," Edwards added. "They did call for backup and took three males into custody."
According to Edwards, three people are facing charges and were set to appear in court Thursday.
No names were released.
