Boy killed by parade float in Preeceville

A seven-year-old boy is dead after being injured by a parade float in Preeceville, Sask. Saturday afternoon.
The Canora-Sturgis RCMP responded to the call at the Preeceville School at about 12:20 p.m. where they found the injured child.
The boy was taken to Preeceville hospital by emergency crews where he was later pronounced dead.
According to the town's website, the community was holding celebrations, including a parade, to celebrate the 100th birthday of Preeceville.
Preeceville is located about 350 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
