The power is back on in storm-battered Prince Albert and North Battleford, but now many people in eastern Saskatchewan are without power.
Due to storms and high winds affecting transmission lines overnight, people in Melville, Sturgis, Kamsack, Humboldt and Nipawin were without power on Wednesday morning, SaskPower vice-president Mike Marsh said.
Rural areas around Yorkton were also affected, although the city itself had power.
An estimate of the number of people without power wasn't immediately available.
Thousands of people on the west side of Saskatoon were also without power for several hours Tuesday evening after lightning struck a transmission structure and it burst into flames, Marsh said. The lights were back on in the city by midnight.
SaskPower crews have been scrambling since Monday, when storms knocked down power lines over a wide area in north and central areas of the province.
The outage had hospitals in Prince Albert and North Battleford scrambling, with emergency power used and many non-emergency procedures cancelled.
Meadow Lake had no power Tuesday, but for much of the city, the lights came back on by midnight.
SaskPower also said it was experiencing problems with its toll-free information line (310-2220), but is trying to fix it and is asking people to be patient.
Around 6:30 p.m. CST Wednesday, SaskPower issued a status update and an estimate for when power might be restored (or already has been restored) in various communities:
Stenen, Sturgis, Kamsack, Canora: Estimated restore time for some areas would be "before nightfall" Wednesday.
Wynyard, Wadena: Power has been restored.
Hudson Bay, Foam Lake: Isolated outages continue. Estimated restore time is Thursday evening.
Neudorf, Lemburg, Sakimay First Nation, Killalee, Grayson: Estimated restore time is unknown at this point.
Langenburg, Moosomin: Intermittent outages are attributed, mostly to wind-damaged trees that have fallen on power lines. Estimated restore time is Thursday evening.

Moose Jaw and area: Deacon, north of Moose Jaw, expected to be back on by dusk; Minor, isolated outages were noted in Moose Jaw.
