One person is dead following a house fire in northwest Saskatchewan.

It happened Sunday afternoon in the town of Glaslyn, which is 68 kilometres north of The Battlefords.

Glaslyn is about 68 kilometres north of the Battlefords, 205 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.

Crews were called to the scene around 3 p.m. CST, the RCMP said.

One person was found dead inside the home.

The body has yet to be identified.

Officials said the fire is not considered suspicious, although it does remain under investigation.

The building was extensively damaged but not completely destroyed, the RCMP said.
