Jacket may be clue in missing student case

A jacket has been found that may have belonged to a missing University of Saskatchewan student.
Hamza Alsharief, 23, has not been heard from since Dec. 14.
On Thursday, police in Saskatoon said they now have a clue in the case: a jacket that seems to match one that Alsharief has worn.
It was found by a passerby on the CP train bridge, north of Saskatoon's downtown area.
"Even if we can't determine 100 per cent that that was in fact the jacket Mr. Alsharief had, at least we're able to narrow down a little bit where he might have been," Alyson Edwards, a spokeswoman for the police, said Thursday.
Police have said they do not believe foul play is associated with his disappearance.
Alsharief, an engineering student from Saudi Arabia, was known to take walks along the riverbank.
His passport, wallet and one of his two cell phones were left behind in his downtown Saskatoon apartment.
