The jaws of life were used to release a trapped driver from a vehicle following a two-vehicle crash close to Rosthern, Sask., on Sunday.

RCMP said the two vehicles collided six kilometres north of Rosthern on Highway 11 at approximately 9:00 p.m. CST.

Police said one of the drivers was trapped and was freed by the jaws of life. Both drivers were taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP said the collision is still under investigation and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Rosthern is approximately 60 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
