A 66-year-old woman who was critically injured after an alleged assault in Moose Jaw, Sask., has died.

Donna Acton was found injured in a home on the 1000 block of Hopkins Crescent on Oct. 10.

She was transported to the Regina General Hospital in critical condition.

Moose Jaw Police said she died on Saturday, Oct. 29. The cause of death was not released.

A 58-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault following the initial injury and released on a number of conditions.

Police said they were still investigating, but did not indicate if there were plans to upgrade the charge.
