A 53-year-old man from northern Saskatchewan is recovering from stab wounds and a 31-year-old man is charged with attempted murder, RCMP say.
Police said Tuesday that their investigation began on Saturday night when they learned that a stabbing victim was at the local medical clinic for treatment of injuries.
Members of the Sandy Bay RCMP looked into it and subsequently laid the attempted murder charge.
The accused is from Sandy Bay.
He made an initial court appearance using video conferencing and has been ordered held in custody.
Police said the case was still under investigation.
The injured man was reportedly in stable condition in hospital.
