Saskatoon records first homicide of 2010

(Google Maps)A 41-year-old man is dead, the victim of foul play, Saskatoon police reported Saturday as they continued a homicide investigation that began in the middle of the night.
Dispatchers got a 911 call at 2:47 a.m., CT, telling them a man was injured on the north side of the 2100 block of 22nd Street W.
Ambulance and police were sent to the scene where they found a man, lying on the ground between two buildings.
He was dead, police reported. It is Saskatoon's first homicide of the year.
No name was released and police did not describe the nature of his injuries.
They said an autopsy would be done on Monday.
