Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Stuart Foord says the momentum his team has from winning the CFL's West Division last week will carry over into Sunday's Grey Cup match. But the pigskin prowess exhibited by the Montreal Alouettes this CFL season isn't intimidating Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Stu Foord as the two teams head into Sunday's Grey Cup final in Calgary.

Foord said the Riders' strategy will likely be to try and neutralize Montreal's offensive guns.

"They have a very strong front seven — I think that's obvious," Foord said.

" We're going to have to beat that front seven if we want to win this game."

The CFL championship game kicks off at Calgary's McMahon Stadium at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Foord said he's still riding the high of winning the league's West Division in Regina last week, and thinks the team's momentum will carry over into today's game.

The Riders will try to counter the Alouettes' offensive punch by showcasing the league's most outstanding defensive player, lineman John Chick, who wears number 97 for the Riders.

During the regular season Chick recorded 11 sacks and forced four fumbles.

And in the end, Regina is a lot closer to Calgary than Montreal is, Foord said.

"We're just going to ride that wave 'cause we feel we have a lot of momentum on our side. And with the crowd we know we're going to get in Calgary, I think that's going to work in our favour," Foord said.
