The Saskatoon Health Region says general immunization, open for all residents, will begin Wednesday with afternoon and early evening clinics scheduled.

Doors will be open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays in Hall D at Prairieland Park. On the weekend, the clinic will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Also this week, additional clinics are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at the University of Saskatchewan.

For rural residents of the health region, mobile clinics will travel from community to community. There will be a clinic Wednesday at the Uniplex in Humboldt, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and in Strasbourg, at the William Derby School, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Some Saskatoon neighbourhoods will also have clinics. Complete details and times are posted on the health region's website at www.saskatoonhealthregion.ca.

According to the most recent update, the region estimates that 21 per cent of its residents have been immunized against swine flu.
