A man with his head wrapped up like a mummy is being sought by Saskatoon police following an armed robbery Saturday night.
Assistant Staff Sgt. Ryan Smith said at about 9 p.m. CT, officers were called to a business in the 1200 block of Idylwyld Drive N. for a report of a firearm-related robbery.
A lone male entered the business, flashed a handgun and demanded cash, Smith said in a statement. He fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount, Smith said.
The culprit is described as a white male wearing a "black bunny hug," or hooded sweatshirt.
In an odd twist, Smith said his entire head was wrapped in white "hospital type bandages," and that only his eyes were visible.
A duty officer reached by telephone on Sunday said that it's likely the man was not injured and that the bandages were simply a "bad disguise."
Anyone with information is asked to call Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300.
There were no injuries and no shots were fired, Smith said.
