Hard rock fans were gearing up for what many expected would be the concert of the summer in Regina on Monday night: the much-anticipated AC/DC show at Mosaic Stadium.
Crews were working feverishly all weekend to make sure the venue was set up perfectly for the Aussie rockers.
A crowd of around 40,000 was expected to pack the stadium.
The city made some adjustments to prepare for the throngs of concert-goers.
The Sportplex closed early to allow those driving to the concert a place to park for $6. There was additional parking at Evraz Place and the Armouries parking lots.
However, the easiest way to get to the concert and home again was likely the bus. Starting at 5 p.m. people were able to hop on a bus at any of the major malls. The shuttles were free and scheduled to leave every 15 minutes.
Everyone entering the stadium was required to go through a security check, and to speed things up, people were asked to leave a number of things at home.
That included includes bags, backpacks, bottles and any containers. There was also a ban on umbrellas, laser pointers, pets and gang colours.
Doors were set to open 6 p.m.
