Saskatoon police are warning people about a sickly coyote that has been spotted in the city.
The Saskatoon coyote is of particular concern, officials say, because
it's believed to have mange, a skin condition caused by mites that could make the animal especially unpredictable.
Several people called police Tuesday after seeing the coyote near the Marquis stables, in Diefenbaker Park and along the riverbank trails in the area.
Officials say people should be careful and call police if they see the animal.
It's not that unusual to spot coyotes in Saskatchewan, but usually the sightings are in rural areas.
Saskatoon was also the scene of several cougar sightings earlier in the year.
