A newborn boy who was hospitalized after being found in a toilet in a Wal-Mart in Prince Albert, Sask., last week has been released from hospital.
The baby has been placed in the care of the Lac La Ronge Indian Child and Family Services agency.
He was taken to Victoria Hospital after being discovered by a store employee in a washroom stall May 21. The baby was originally listed in serious but stable condition.
He was released from hospital on Tuesday.
The mother, who came forward following a public appeal by police, remained in hospital Thursday in intensive care, suffering from an infection.
Police are still investigating. So far, no charges have been laid.
