Moosehead is the only Canadian-owned brewer selling in every province now that the Saint John company has launched a beer in Saskatchewan, the last province to carry Moosehead products.

Company president Steve Poirier says Canadians have always been proud and patriotic when it comes to beer, and that Moosehead is using its position to appeal to that patriotism.

"Molsons, Labatts and Sleemans are owned by international companies, be it Brazilians, Americans or the Japanese, and really there's no one [that] would really come close to being the size of Moosehead," Poirier said Tuesday as the brewer entered Saskatchewan. "In fact, if you took every other Canadian-owned brewer in the country and added them together, Moosehead would be bigger than all of them combined."

Poirier said it's a slow process, but the company is increasing its market share across the country.
