A Saskatchewan Mountie has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman who had been in police custody.
On Tuesday, Queen's Bench Justice Duane Koch ruled that Const. Thierry Jacques, 32, coerced a woman into a sexual act two years ago at the La Ronge RCMP detachment in northern Saskatchewan.
Thierry Jacques testified the sexual encounter was consensual and didn't happen at the police station.

At the time, September 2004, the woman, who is in her 20s, was a prisoner under arrest for public drunkenness and Jacques was an RCMP member with the detachment.
During the trial in Prince Albert last week, the victim said Jacques touched her breasts, exposed himself and encouraged her to touch him when she was in custody.
Jacques, who is under suspension from the RCMP, testified he had a sexual encounter with the woman, it was consensual and it happened at a residence, not at the police station.
A key piece of evidence was a shirt belonging to the woman. Semen on the shirt matched Jacques' DNA, court heard.
Following Koch's decision, the Crown and defence were discussing whether Jacques would be sentenced later in afternoon or at a later date.
Under a court ban, the woman's name cannot be published.
