Saskatoon mayor Don Atchison is running for the city's top job again.

Throwing his hat into the mayoralty race on Thursday, Atchison said Saskatoon is on a wave of growth and development and he wants to keep the momentum going.

Incumbent Don Atchison is making another run for the mayor's chair.

He outlined a long list of projects, including two new bridges and an annexation in the northeast.

However, Atchison had less to say about any future tax increases. Last time he ran, he said he wanted a tax freeze. Instead, taxes have gone up for the last three years.

That's because of more spending on police, Atchison said.

So far, his only challenger is a former city councillor, Lenore Swystun, who was defeated last election after one term.

In urban areas, municipal elections are on Oct. 25.
