Regina police are searching for a bike-riding bank robber.

On Monday, a man entered a Scotiabank branch on Albert Street near the downtown and handed a teller a note, saying he was armed.

Although no weapon was seen, the employees handed over an unknown amount of cash.

After leaving the bank, he hopped on his bicycle and pedalled away.

According to police, he abandoned the bike in an alley, where some of the money was found.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about five-feet-four, in his mid-30s with short dark hair. Witnesses said he was wearing a dark blue windbreaker, ball cap and mirrored sunglasses.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about the robbery to give them a call.
