Regina's short construction period is underway and that means there's a chance road closures could affect commuters.
Monday morning marks the beginning of reconstruction of the southbound Ring Road exit ramp at Victoria Avenue.
The city is advising drivers to plan alternate routes, because there will be no access to Victoria Avenue for southbound traffic.
The exit ramp will be closed for the next two weeks as workers remove the existing road and replace it with a new one.
Drivers planning to travel east on Highway 1 are being advised to take McDonald Street north to Highway 46 to exit the city.
Those looking to access Victoria Avenue East can continue south on Ring Road and exit at Arcola Avenue instead.
The city also begins its upgrade of the intersection of Prince of Wales Drive and Victoria Avenue to improve traffic flow Monday.
Drivers can expect a slow down in the area as workers remove and replace the concrete centre median, add pedestrian ramps, and upgrade traffic signals.
Construction is expected to take four weeks.
This city is reminding drivers to reduce their speed in construction zones and take alternative routes if possible.
