RCMP are investigating what they are describing as a "tragic" hunting accident where a 63-year-old man inadvertently shot and killed his 36-year-old son.
According to police ,the pair, from Prince Albert, Sask., were hunting in a rural area east of the city Friday.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. CST.
Police said the father rushed back to their camp to call for help.
The terrain was such that police and emergency medical crews had to use an ATV to reach the site of the shooting.
Police did not say if the man who was shot died at the scene.
"The investigation into this tragic incident is continuing," they added.
