Officials at the Poundmaker First Nation who stole from the band have been ordered to make restitution in the form of payments to support the reserve school.

Eight current and former executives pleaded guilty to stealing from the band Treaty Land Entitlement fund and the last sentences were handed out by a judge in North Battleford Friday.

Chief Duane Antoine and his brother Ted, a former chief, were both given 20 months of probation.

They must also, each, pay $2,500 to the Chief Poundmaker School.
