Sell-out looms for Grey Cup in Regina

As of late Monday afternoon, little more than 100 tickets — all singles — were still available for sale for the Grey Cup championship game on Sunday.

The tickets are being sold online through Ticketmaster, which listed the tickets available in various sections of Mosaic Stadium, ranging in price from about $200 to about $400.

Many online commerce sites, such as Kijiji, have also been listing tickets for sale to the game — at inflated prices.

Typically there is a flurry of ticket activity the day after the conference finals when the competing teams are known and the fan base gets active to follow their club.

There could also be some activity in Regina's hotel market, as bookings from cities that did not win a berth, Calgary and Toronto, may become available. It may take some doing to find, however, as many locations also accept tentative bookings in the event of cancellations.

Flights into Regina have also been booked, months in advance, although the airlines have some flexibility to add service to match demand.
