A search is under way for Justin Kishayinew, 22, who was last seen in the early hours of Feb. 10 in Saskatoon.

According to people close to the family, Kishayinew was last seen by a relative on that date and his last known public communication was an update to his Facebook profile picture at 7:30 a.m. CST on Feb. 9.

Glenda Abbott, sister to the missing man, is helping to organize a search.

"The feeling of not knowing is something that I don't know if people can truly imagine what that feels like," Abbott said.

She said the family is concerned because it's not like Kishayinew to stop communicating.

"It's not like him not to be on Facebook. It's not like him to not communicate with anyone," Abbott said.

Police said that a relative saw Kishayinew leaving his home on Avenue L S. in Saskatoon on the morning of Feb. 9.

The search is set for Saturday and Sunday and will focus on areas along the South Saskatchewan River and the Meewasin Trail primarily during daylight hours.

The family is asking for donations of money, food, water or material to support the search volunteers.

The missing man is described as being six feet tall, with a slim build and weighing about 160 pounds. He has short, light brown hair, and brown eyes. He has a scar over his left eyebrow and another in the middle of his forehead.
