Perseverance has paid off for a Saskatoon man who made it his mission to get his broken couch refunded.

Mike Willfong was featured in a CBC News story last week after spending a number of days fighting to get his money back, when his new, $800 couch broke after just three days.

Willfong said Saskatoon City Furniture wasn't playing ball, so he approached customers going into the store, telling them to beware.

From his perspective, the story had a happy ending.

After CBC's report aired, Saskatoon City Furniture emailed him, asking him to bring in the couch for a full refund.

On Tuesday, Willfong told CBC, he got his $800 back.
