Police in Saskatoon are investigating after a 13-year-girl reported a suspicious man had approached her several times and asked her to get into his car Friday.

The girl told police she had been walking in the area of 11th Street and Avenue L South when an unknown man driving a white, two-door car approached her three times, asking her to get inside.

Police said the man told the girl her mother had asked him to give her a ride, and that her mother was on his cell phone asking to speak to her.

The girl didn't listen to him and went home.

The man was described as being in his 40s, with spiky, short brown hair and scars on his forehead, chin and under his eyes.

His car is described as having rust near the back bumper and the license plate was covered with what looked to be a plastic bag.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Saskatoon police.
