Saskatoon police charge thief carrying airsoft gun
Man, 34, in custody after attempted robbery
A 34-year-old man is in police custody after attempting to rob a Saskatoon business with an airsoft gun Friday evening.
Police were called at about 6:20 p.m. CST to the the 100 block of Ruth Street E after a complaint that a man was inside the business with a handgun.
A worker had managed to take the gun away from the robber before police arrived on scene. Police determined the firearm was actually an airsoft gun. No one was injured.
The man, who was wanted on two other warrants, has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.
