A Saskatoon man climbing a power pole may have received a bit of a shock this week when the police showed up.
At around 2:30 a.m. CST on Wednesday, officers on patrol near the 2300 block of 11th St. W. in the West Industrial area spotted the man and stopped to investigate.
According the Saskatoon Police Service, the man was carrying bolt cutters, a pry bar and a section of copper wire.
When he climbed back down, he was taken into custody.
Police later discovered that copper wire had been cut from the power line.
The 46-year-old man appeared in provincial court Wednesday after being charged with mischief and possession of break-in tools
