A Saskatoon woman is facing several charges after allegedly stabbing a man in the back with a butcher knife.

Police arrested the 35-year-old Wednesday morning and charged her with assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death and three counts of breach of probation.

Officers were called to a home on the 100 block of Avenue O South on the west side of the city shortly after 1:15 a.m. CST.

The 39-year-old man was taken to Royal University Hospital where he was treated for injuries police described as non-life-threatening.
