Saskatoon man killed in crash
A Saskatoon man is dead following a single-vehicle crash on the east side of the city.
It happened early Tuesday morning on the 2800 block of Arlington Ave.
The 22-year-old man was a passenger in a car driven by a 33-year-old man.
The two men were heading south when the driver lost control at a curve in the road, then hit a tree before striking another vehicle parked in a driveway, Saskatoon police said.
The passenger, Dylan Nahorniak of Saskatoon, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the crash, Saskatoon police said.
At around 8:30 a.m. CST, Arlington Avenue was closed while collision analysts completed their on-scene investigation.
