Saskatoon doctor facing fifth sexual assault charge
A Saskatoon family doctor is facing another charge of sexual assault following allegations of inappropriate touching.
Krishna Vittala, 67, was scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Thursday on the charge.
The complainant is a 49-year-old woman who reported to police that she had been assaulted while she was seeking medical treatment.
The alleged incidents occured at a Saskatoon medical clinic between December 2005 and April 2006.
Police charged Vittala in June with sexual assault involving two female patients at clinics in 2004 and earlier this year.
In July, two other women came forward with allegations of inappropriate touching — one a former patient and the other a woman who worked with Vittala at a medical clinic.
