Four athletes from Saskatchewan will be on the ice today at the Olympic games in Sochi

First up is Shaunavon's Hayley Wickenheiser, who takes to the ice with the women's hockey team, in a key round robin game against their chief rivals from the United States.

Both teams have a record of two wins and no losses heading into the match.

Canada has won the last three Olympic gold medals. The game begins at 6:30 a.m. CST.

Humboldt's Willam Dutton will be competing in the men's 1000 metres in long track speedskating. That event begins at 8:00 a.m. CST.

Dutton is in the 8th of 20 pairings that will race for a medal.

Paige Lawrence of Kennedy and Rudi Swiegers of Kipling will compete in the long program of the pairs event in figure skating. The duo, which skated out of the Wawota Skating Club, placed 13th in the short program.

The long program competition begins at 9:45 a.m. CST. Lawrence and Swiegers are the second pair to skate.
