In 4-man bobsled action, one Saskatchewan athlete was part of a crash during the second run Saturday. Ben Coakwell of Saskatoon is a pusher on the Canada 3 team in the bobsled. Their sled slid sideways out of a turn, but all four athletes walked away following the crash.

The crash left Canada 3 well behind the rest of the pack following its second run. They enter today's third and fourth runs in last place.

Lyndon Rush of Humboldt is pilot of the Canada 2 crew. His team was the highest-ranking Canadian squad after the second run, sitting in tenth place. Canada 1 goes into Sunday's runs tied for 13th with Latvia 2.

The third run for the 4-man bobsled event is scheduled to began at 3:30 a.m. CST, and the fourth and final run started at 5 a.m. CST.

Rush's crew was the top performer overall for Canada, finishing in 9th place after four runs. Canada 1 posted a thirteenth place finish.

Canada 3 still found themselves at the bottom of the heap following the third run. Following Saturday's race the athletes reportedly only suffered minor injuries, though Coakwell and teammate Cody Sorenson were replaced for the third run. The team did not race in the fourth run.

Russia ended up winning gold in the event, Latvia took silver and team USA was able to nab the bronze.
