Saskatchewan workers can expect higher than average salary increases in 2014.

A new report on the annual salary projections for Canadians was released on Tuesday. It projects Saskatchewan's average salary will increase by 3.4 per cent next year.

The forecasted national average is 2.6 per cent. Newfoundland is expected to lead the nation with an average salary increase of four per cent.

The highest increases are in the Oil and Gas sector, which is projecting a four per cent increase.

The lowest projected increases are in the hospitality, retail, and public sectors.
