A 78-year-old man from Rosthern, Sask., is dead after a crash at a grid road intersection northwest of the town.

Two vehicles collided Sunday morning at around 10 a.m. CST.

Four other people were taken to hospital. Police said none of their injuries was considered life-threatening.

The cause of the crash isn't known. A collision reconstructionist has been called into the investigation.

Police haven't released the man's name.
